Tejal and Erick's Wedding at Meadows View Farm

Some weddings stay with you. Not just because the photos turned out great or the venue was stunning — but because of the people. Tejal and Erick? They are those people.

This one was personal. Not for me personally, but in the way that you could feel how real it was. And I am going to tell you why.

The Groom Left the Hospital to Get Married

Let that sink in for a second.

A few hours before the ceremony, Erick was in a bike wreck. Like, actually in the hospital. And instead of calling it off, rescheduling, doing the sensible thing — he checked himself out, got dressed, and showed up to marry his bride.

With his arm in a sling.

In a full suit.

With the biggest smile I have ever seen on a groom.

That is Erick. That is who he is. And honestly? That one moment told me everything I needed to know about how this marriage was going to go. You do not do that for someone you are not absolutely certain about.

Tejal Was Unbothered — In the Best Way

She knew. She had to know. And she just kept moving. Getting ready. Getting beautiful. Holding it together the way brides do when they are completely locked in on the moment in front of them.

When she touched her dress on that hanger — henna on her hands, pearl necklace already on, robe tied like she owned the morning — that was a whole story in one frame. I love that shot. It is quiet and powerful at the same time.

The mehndi detail shots are some of my favorites from the entire year. Full coverage. Rich color. You could see how much thought went into it. That is culture, that is tradition, that is the real details that make a wedding more than just a party.

Meadows View Farm Is Something Special

McConnells, SC does not get enough credit. This venue is massive — I mean genuinely large. High cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams, ring chandeliers that give off this warm industrial glow, hardwood floors that photograph beautifully, and barn doors that are literally a backdrop for any shot you point a camera at.

The outdoor ceremony space sits against open field and tree line with a wood pergola dressed in pink florals and flowing white draping. That blue sky backdrop was perfect. No filters needed. Just Carolina spring doing what it does.

Inside for the reception, the room was packed. A big crowd and every single person was locked in. When the couple made their entrance, the whole room erupted. I shot it from the back and you can see every table, every hand, every face — all pointed toward the door.

That is the kind of energy you can not manufacture.

The Reception Was a Full Party

The dance floor stayed packed all night. There was a circle. There is always a circle at the best weddings. Everybody in, shoulder to shoulder, while the couple gets pulled to the center. I love shooting those moments because nobody is performing for the camera — they are just in it.

Erick and Tejal feeding each other cake was one of those clean, sweet moments. No smash. No drama. Just real. The three-tier cake with pink roses and eucalyptus was gorgeous against the natural light coming through the windows.

And the bridesmaids — all in shades of pink and blush — they were having the time of their lives from the first frame to the last. That group photo on the grass with everyone pointing and posing? Pure joy.

What Tejal and Erick Taught Me

I have photographed a lot of weddings. I have seen nervous grooms, anxious brides, chaotic timelines and all kinds of curveballs. But I have never shown up on a day where the groom literally came from the emergency room and you would have never known it from his energy.

That couple was calm. They were present. They were happy. And that made my job easy because all I had to do was point the camera at what was already there.

That is the kind of love that is fun to document.
